Non-Violence

Islam as a religion spread through out south East Asia and Africa by way of merchants and teachers with out any military involvement at all.P-95.Islam makes no difference between Mosque and state.
The word jihad does not means holy war. Jihad means struggle or effort. On the basis of famous hadith of the holy prophet, it is divided into two Al –jeh ad, al-akbar, the greatest struggle the inward effort of confronting our lower nature-and al-jehad, al-asghar, the lesser struggle-the outward effort of confronting social justice. The lesser struggle is of much kind including teaching, a culture for peace, resistance to oppression. It is both armed and unarmed forms of struggle, P-96
Much of the Quraan speaks of struggle-the struggle of the inevitable victory of the true over the false, the right over the wrong. The Muslim had a mission for the betterment of mankind.
The first man (whose case) will be decided on the Day of Judgment will be a man who died as a martyr. He will be brought forward, God will make him recount his blessing, upon him, and he will recount them. The God will ask, and what did you do (for me)? He will say, I fought for you until I died as a martyr. God will say, you have told a lie. You fight for so, that you might be called a brave warrior and you have been so called, judgment will be pressed against him, and he will be dragged face downward into Hell (Sahih Muslim4688) it is compassion that conquer. It is unity that conquers. It is Allah good qualities, behavior and action that conquer others. It is that is called Islam. The sword does not conquer; love is superior to the sword. Love id un-exalted gentle sword (Mahaiyadeen 34,P-111).
World is based on three element, Justice, Truth and Peace..
Jesus elaborate; you have heard it said, an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth, but I say to you, does not resist an evildoer. But if any one strikes you on the right cheek, turn the other side also…. you have heard it said, you shall love your neighbors and hate your enemy, But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those, who persecute you. (Math.5; 38-48)
A just war, according to the Christian ethicist, must be waged only by a legitimate authority and only for a just cause. Further, war must be the last resort; non-combatants must be able to discriminate. The goal must be the peace rather than gain.P-155.No one argues that Jesus meant to speak of just war.
Anabaptist. That is baptism as a willed act to accompany a free choice to become a Christian. The founder of the Quaker sect, George fox, was the son of a puritan and focal point for the convergence of a number of early Quaker leaders.
George Fox himself was offered an officer’s rank in cromek’s army. Fox’s response to this offer has become a classic statement in Quaker tradition.
“I told them I lived in the virtue of that life and power that took away the occasion of all wars, and I knew from whence all wars did rise, from the lust according to James and still they courted to accept their offer…but I told them, I was come into the convenient of peace, which has before all wars and strife’s was; and they said they offered it in. Love and kindness to me, because of my virtue and such like, and I told them that were their love and kindness trampled it under my feet.” (Brock1972, 259).
For our struggle is not against enemies and flesh, but against the ruler, against the authorities, against the canonic powers of this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to withstand on that evil day and having done everything to stand firm. Stand therefore and fasten the belt of truth around your waist. and put on whatever will make you ready to proclaim the gospel of peace with all of these, take the shield of faith, with  which you will be able to quench the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God (EPH6;12-17)P-161.
As the essay on Islam puts this paradox, “the same beautiful example (Muhammad PBUH). Which inspired the great heroes of non-violence in Islamic history. The fiercest opponents of the advocates of non-violence also appealed it to for justification as well”.
