SOCIAL WORK TRAINING TO STAFF OF MOLSAMD
AND OTHER MINISTRIES IN AFGHANISTAN by Mr.Ali Gohar
WITH THE SUPPORT FROM CHILD RIGHTS CONSORTIUM
And financial assistance of European commission
Five weeks training was arranged by child right consortium of five national and international NGO’s (TDH, Afghanistan Farda, Acahina, Afghan Domin, CIC) in close coordination with MOLSAMD in the ministry of MOLSAMD conference room. European commission funded the project.
Goal and objective of the training was to train, Trainer of Trainers (TOT’s) of different Ministries in Child focused social work. Eight Ministries (Health, Interior, Hajj and Auqaff, Justice, Refugees, Youth Ministry,) along with six representatives from the ministry of MOLSAMD provincial offices of Hearth, Qandhar, Bamyan, Nangrhar, Qandus, Balkh attended the training.
The training theme was to build the capacity of focal person in social work skills and technique with special focus on children issues in Afghanistan. Children existing problems and its solution were addresses with in the religious and traditional framework during the training. A training manual along with detail reference book was developed to assist the TOT’s in further training in the field. Mr. Ali Gohar Training Specialist conducted the training.
