Project Summary
To enrich our global world, it is essential that different cultures share and learn from each other. Youth organizations, building the vision of tomorrow, must work hand to hand to increase the worldwide youth cooperation and develop intercultural dialogue and improve tolerance, solidarity and respect among civil societies.
The project aims to develop a research on and an exchange of the principal good practices used by youth organizations from Italy, Spain, Malta, Germania , Nepal, India, Liberia, Indonesia, Pakistan and Colombia in the field of fight against racism and xenophobia. The project activities are a kick off meeting, a research, its practical application (job shadowings) and result dissemination (Seminars). The transversal activities aim to give a great and stable character to the exchange of good practices through: national and international Networks, a Platform and specific materials.
This project will give to the organization the tools and opportunities to get new knowledge about the different good practices, to establish strong partnerships, to generate new opportunities for youth workers, to develop a worldwide conscience, to develop new projects and to become leaders.
The project will take place in different countries from MAY 2008 to MAY 2009.
What are «good practices » ? :
They are examples of procedures or methods that have good results. A good practice is one approach – sometimes innovative- that experiments and evaluates in order to achieve a good result.
The term “good practice” also implies the reproduction and dissemination of such methods.
In other words, you can call a good practice – an action or method that has been realised, that has been fruitful, and that can be reproduced in other contexts.
The good practices help to learn from other organisations that have developed successful projects or approaches to problems.
